Ad Hoc RVT Route

Veterinary Medical Board (VMB) Alternate Route AD-Hoc

The AdHoc Route is a type of Alternate Route to obtain your qualifications to sit for the California RVT and VTNE exams.  It differs from the traditional structured Alternate Route by accepting candidate education requirements through a non structured means. Education is obtained through many different sources including Community Colleges and Universities, RACE Approved CE, and RVT Courses.  It becomes the candidate’s responsibility to satisfy the VMB by completing all of the Educational Requirements required by a structured Alternate Program.  As with the structured Alternate Route program, Ad Hoc Candidates must also have 4426 hours of Clinical work under a California licensed veterinarian.
